COURSE OVERVIEW

In January 2016, the Centre for Defence Studies (CDS) at King’s College, London launched a unique National Security Studies modular course at post-graduate accredited level.

Reflecting the evolution and broadening of national security in recent decades, this module has been specifically designed to bring together UK security policy practitioners, representatives from the private sector and policy-interested postgraduate students to consider this developing subject area.

The module is the core module of the new MA programme in National Security Studies, which starts in October 2019. The module will be delivered by a team of academics and policy practitioners experienced in professional training courses and matters of national security, led by Professor John Gearson, Professor of National Security Studies, Dr Joe Devanny, Lecturer in National Security Studies, and Dr Nina Musgrave, Assistant Director at the Centre for Defence Studies.
