** Bursaries available for King's PhD Students **
A limited number of full bursary places (attendance on all 3 days) are now available for King's PhD and DClinPsy students within the Health Faculties (IoPPN, FoLSM, Dental Institute and Nursing & Midwifery). To be considered, please complete your application and send a brief CV and a 150-200 word statement explaining how attendance will benefit your studies to hspr-summerschools@kcl.ac.uk. The dealine for applications is 12 noon on 22 February 2019. All applications will be reviewed shortly thereafter.
Other faculties will be considered on a case by case basis.


This three-day course aims to develop students’ knowledge and understanding of the nature and determinants of women’s mental health, and research principles and methods for the study of these issues and for the design and evaluation of strategies to improve women’s mental health. Students will also be provided with practical guidance on safety and ethical issues in women’s mental health research. Key topics include the risk of illness to the mother and child in the perinatal period and the relationship between domestic and sexual violence and women’s mental health.
